Baltimore Hospital Airs Side On Discrimination Case vs. Pinay Nurses


On July 3, a reaction from Bon Secours hospital to an ABS-CBN news report has been received through e-mail saying Bon Secours has a long history of being an equal opportunity employer. The hospital denies that it took any action against the employees based on their Filipino origin”, stressing that the hospital has not been found guilty of discrimination by any court for firing Filipino nurses Anna Rowena Rosales, Corina Capunitan-Yap and Hachelle Natano and administrative staff employee Jazziel Granada two years ago.

The spokeman also added no lawsuit has ever been filed by Ms. Rosales or anyone else against Bon Secours claiming discrimination about speaking Tagalog or based on their being of Filipino descent.”

The hospital explained that the claims of nurses Ms. Rosales and Ms. Yap were misinrerpreted against Bon Secours Baltimore.
