Nurses are currently awarded significant bonus points towards their Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) application and they even receive priority processing from Immigration Quebec.
It all sounds great, but the reason we are writing this today is because we are concerned that the next big change might come on July 31st, 2013 and this could mean that it will be more difficult for nurses to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
However, if we act now we can have your application safely submitted under the current regulations and it will be safe from future changes.
Please remember the under the current regulations, which strongly favour nurses, there is no specific amount of funds that need to be demonstrated to the government and you can submit without your language tests, but they must be provided within three months from the date your application was filed.
A bit of background:
In December 2011, the QSW program changed some of their regulations.
Then in March 2012, they changed their regulations again and that meant that many different types of occupations, that were eligible in the past, were taken off the list. That meant that a lot of people missed their opportunity to apply, but nurses were still safe.
In April we saw the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program cut nurses from their list of eligible occupations. It is a very real possibility that nurses will be cut from the QSW occupation list, but we can’t be certain.
We hope nurses won’t be removed from the list, but we don’t know what the changes might be. We want to get the word out:
If you are a nurse and you have always dreamed of living in Canada, now is the time to apply.
I invite you to contact my Filipino Immigration Specialist Cleo Dimayuga ([email protected]) for more information on how to get started.
Don’t regret not seizing this opportunity. If you act now we can submit your application now and ensure that your application is safe under the current regulations. So what are you waiting for?
Secure your Canadian Permanent Residence and make a lifetime investment for you and your family before this opportunity passes you by.
