Most people suffer from some type of acne during their life time. So if you’re dealing with this stubborn and painful skin disease just remember, you’re not alone. Where does acne come from? In short, there are glands under your skin responsible from producing oils (Sebum) to clean your pores of dead skin. When these pores get clogged with dirt the oils start to build up under the skin and this is what creates a pimple.

Now when inflammation is mixed into this process… You guessed it, ACNE. This can be everything from hormones, diet, drugs, and genetic. If you go to a dermatologist they won’t be able to pin point your acne because no one can really tell you why exactly you’re getting acne, they can just give you a list of reasons of why you’ve got it. But let’s face it, you’re reading this because either you or someone you know has acne. So the important question is:

How do I get rid of Acne Fast?

There are two ways you can get rid of acne; you can go the natural route where you have to follow a strict diet and change everything that you eat as you know it. This takes a while, and most people end up cheating on the diet, so I would not choose this option. To get rid of your acne FAST, acne treatment products are your best choice. The fact of the matter is that we wash our faces everyday (hopefully) so by adding a few steps to this process you’re not changing your daily routine which greatly increases the likelihood that you’ll actually follow the treatment. With good acne products you’ll see results in the first week, and usually most people get rid of their acne by the first month. Now you have to decide between acne kits and individual products. I always recommend going for acne treatment kits because it includes all the lotions, tonics, and moisturizers needed to get rid of your acne; the products are designed to work together to get rid of your acne effectively and fast. If you get the products separately you will have to learn the hard way to see what works and what doesn’t.

But if you choose to learn the hard way, make sure you follow this basic routine.

Step 1. Wash your face

Wash your face each morning and evening before using any other products. This will get rid of and dead skin as well as excess oil. Any creams or products that you use on your face and body should be oil free and noncomedogenic (won’t clog pores). Use warm water, and a cleanser to wash all of the affected areas.

Step 2. The Product

Once your skin is clean, use an acne product that contains benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to apply on and around the acne areas of your face. This process removes the dead skin and kills bacteria.

Step 3. Moisturize

It’s amazing how so many people forget to do this step and wonder why they still have acne. Your skin will dry out from using the bacteria killing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, you have to replenish the vitamins in your skin and keep it moisturized to help fight acne.

So these are the basic steps in getting rid of your acne fast and effectively. If you’re looking for more information in products and how to get rid of acne fast.

  • If you have acne avoid picking your skin at all costs. Picking pimples can cause acne to spread, and if your fingers aren’t sterile more bacteria can be transferred onto your face leading to new outbreaks. Picking also damages the skin and interrupts the skin’s natural healing process, meaning existing acne eruptions will take much longer to heal.
