Nursing profession covers a wide scope of practices either here or abroad. What’s important is that every registered nurse should have a space at the back of their minds for career growth and professional advancement to reach the ladder of success in the profession. Nurses should be aware that nursing jobs are not only confined in the four corners of the hospital but are also needed in industrial and community set-up. Upon entering the profession nurses should know what field of nursing practice captures their interest and pursue that specific career path.

Final Thoughts

It is obvious that nursing profession in the United States is far more developed than our nursing system. This is evident by the abundance of resources that can be found in the internet. The structure of professional advancement in nursing practice in the United States is more advanced as compared to ours. They have an organized system for the nurses to know how to obtain a certain improvement or growth in their professional career as compared to the Philippines where specialization is such a vague aspect of the profession. I think it would be much better if the Philippines would learn to adapt and improve the nursing profession in our country, paying particular attention with the benefits, salary and stability of the job itself.
