The Definitely Filipino blog network has an immediate need of a Post editor/Writer to manage all the blogs in our network.
Based in the Philippines, the Post editor/Writer will be responsible for improving formatting, style, grammar, punctuation, inserting relevant images, and accuracy of submitted articles by the community. This person will also be in charge of the final proof reading of the articles, sending the articles to the blog queue to be published, and managing the schedule. The position is part time that requires around 4 hours of work each day, but may lead to a full time position.
This position requires 1-2 years of experience in a similar position. Hands-on experience with WordPress is a must. The position also requires the ability to write compelling English or Tagalog articles on a daily basis, on any given subject matter, and must be available to work during business hours (Manila Time).
Since this is a remote/telecommute position, and managing blogs is one of the primary responsibilities, the successful candidate must have a reliable laptop/computer and fast broadband connection.
Candidate must be able to submit samples of work demonstrating excellent writing skills. A candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or English is desirable, however nursing graduates who can edit and write excellent nursing-related articles are also encouraged to apply.
