When life gets tough, be tougher. As nurses, we are already used to a hectic day, changing shift schedules, and cranky patients (and sometimes, even colleagues, too). Sometimes, the going gets tough and we feel like losing interest to our chosen profession. With all the responsibilities we face everyday, nurses get tired too, that’s why sometimes, people have the impression that some nurses are irritable, and are easily angered.
Just because you earned a license doesn’t make a good nurse right away. You have to have a lifelong commitment and compassion to your chosen profession. You learned the art of caring in nursing, and once you become a nurse, you have to keep that passion burning once you practice your profession. I tell you, the hardships you went through when you were just a student is nothing compared to the hardships you will encounter as you continue with your journey as a nurse.
Let me share to you some nursing quotes I’ve compiled from the internet, (credits to the respective authors), daily dose of inspiration that can surely go a long way, written by nurses for us nurses to ponder upon in times we feel like doubting our chosen profession.
