Galing akong Pier kanina, doon sa may bandang Moriones. Actually, it was my first time to pass there. My friends and I were on our way home when I saw what I saw.

Puro tao… puro bata. Ang daming mga bata, nagkalat eh. Tapos basang basa pa.”

Sabi pa nga ng friend ko, kailanman ay ‘di naging tuyo ang daan na ‘yon for some unethical reasons. I don’t mean to disrespect or mock or whatever; but I just gotta let this thing out of my chest. Na-bothered ako. Bigtime. It just showed how insensitive I’ve become with my surroundings. Akala ko ang saya saya ng buhay. Oo, may mahirap, but I never thought that there was mahirap na mahirap.

But you know what’s amazing? I never saw even a single person there that didn’t wear a smile at his/her face. Na kahit ganoon sila, simple things mean so much to them. At least sabay sabay sila matulog, yakap yakap pa.

What I’m trying to say is that life depends on how you look at it. To add; life isn’t about money. Yes, it is part of man’s necessities in life, but it doesn’t mean that you cannot attain happiness without it. Ang dami paring ‘aspeto sa buhay na makapagbibigay sayo ng ligaya other than money.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. -Matthew 7:30

God never leaves us, nor forsakes us. The fact that these people I’ve seen were all ALIVE; that is really something to be thankful for.

Yayaman din tayo? Naaah… Basta masaya tayo, SWABE na yun! 🙂
